We rely on a trusting partnership with established companies and family-run businesses from the region that share our values and sense of enjoyment – and have done so for many years. We are proud of our excellent network of regional suppliers who reliably provide us with premium quality products. Innovation and drive play just as important a role for us as social responsibility and sustainability.
In addition to social responsibility, the fair milk price plays a particularly important role at Berchtesgadener Land. The award-winning dairy is organised as a cooperative and the farmers themselves are the owners. Great importance is given to animal welfare and local fodder without genetic engineering. And this high quality standard has a measurable effect: The organic pioneers are justifiably proud of the particularly high proportion of omega-3 fatty acids in the milk.
BEER FROM BAVARIA
We Bavarians have known what a good beer should taste like since the 15th century: Augustiner Bräu, Hacker-Pschorr and Franziskaner are the oldest breweries in the region. But the light, dark and wheat beers do not only taste good in the beer garden – you can also enjoy the traditional art of brewing in our hotel bar.
Tradition since 1328: the Augustiner brewery is the heart of Munich’s oldest beer brand. Whether pale, dark or noble – only what is made of water, hops, malt and yeast is bottled. The people of Munich love it.Learn more
Franziskaner wheat beer places great emphasis on quality and regionality: Hops and malt come from farming areas in Bavaria, the special top-fermenting yeast comes from our own breeding and the water from our own well.Learn more
The traditional brand, which has existed since 1417, is known nationwide and knows how to translate the character of the Bavarian capital into hops and malt – of course, it is always brewed in accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516.Learn more
Throughout the Alpine country, company founders Bernhard Koller and Armin Wagner work with small alpine farms that grow organic quality for them. The ingredients for their alpine herb teas are picked by hand, dried and delivered directly to Traunstein. Together with the herb farmers, the two keep developing new products from these ingredients, trying out which plants blend with each other and what is suitable for cultivation depending on the soil.
Every day from 2 a.m. onwards, dough is kneaded and pretzels are shaped in the Zöttl bakery and patisserie before they later leave the bakery crispy on the outside and wonderfully fluffy on the inside. The ingredients are carefully selected and processed, the grain is freshly ground and the dough is shaped by hand. For generations, the family business has relied on honest quality, natural ingredients and masterful craftsmanship.
Andechser Natur organic milk suppliers are family-run farms and have often been dairy farmers for generations. The certified organic farms are all affiliated with the Bioland, Demeter, Biokreis or Naturland farming associations. In addition, the Andechser Organic Standard guarantees a unique, closed and transparent feed cycle.
Quality is the number one priority at this traditional Munich company, whose roots go back some three centuries. The delicatessen in Munich’s city centre is particularly well-known beyond the city limits for its coffee. The finest highland plants from the best growing regions in the world are gently processed in the Dallmayr roasting plants into “perfectly refined top-quality coffee”.
Sustainability and regionality are of great importance to the Black Forest manufactory: a large part of the fruit for the high-quality jams is delivered from the neighbouring Markgräflerland or the Kaiserstuhl region. In order to preserve the flavour of the fruit in the best possible way, only small quantities of fully ripe fruit are stirred by hand in the open copper kettle – and this has been done for over 100 years.
GESSLER - MUNICH'S FRESHNESS
The wholesale market hall in Sendlingen is also known as the “belly of Munich”. From here, the Gessler company has been supplying customers from Munich and the surrounding area with freshly harvested vegetables and the finest fruits for more than 30 years. The company works closely with producers from the region and takes care to keep transport distances as short as possible. The market-fresh products on offer are impressive and unique in southern Bavaria.
NOBLE BRANDY FROM GUGGENBICHLER
A piece of distilling tradition can be found in the foothills of the Alps in Chiemgau. Since 1829, the Guggenbichler family has been producing the finest brandies and liqueurs. The fruits used come from their own farm and every little step is done exclusively by hand and with the utmost care. The result is an authentic aroma and a unique quality.
Metzgerei Bauch stands for craftsmanship, passion, tradition and first-class quality. The business is known for the delicious flavours of ginger, parsley and lemon and the fluffy texture of its traditional white sausages. The exact spice mixture remains a family secret.
RENNER EGG FARM
Toni Renner knows the difference between a chicken and a happy chicken. Because his feathered friends only feel really at ease when they can scratch, peck and move around freely. A combination of free-range husbandry and mobile coops offers protection from sun, wind and rain. The feed, which is exclusively home-grown, is another quality feature of the farm.
