Environmental protection concerns us all
Many of our guests want to live and travel in an environmentally conscious way – and we want to do everything we can to support them. Starting with organic products from regional producers, the use of energy-efficient technology and green electricity, resource-saving house keeping, to our hotel-own e-charging station and bicycle rental. For us, sustainability is not just lip service; at Maier Privathotels, the entire team is committed to sustainability: Together, we are reducing our ecological footprint and strengthening sustainability awareness and commitment at all levels.

Housekeeping Station - self-service replaces daily room cleaning
Together with you we set an example for environmental protection: Is the daily cleaning of all hotel rooms still fashionable nowadays? We think not. At home very few people probably change their bedsheets or towels every day. Waiving the automatic room service has a clearly positive effect on our environmental balance – less plastic waste, less energy consumption and less pollution!
The comfort of our guests is still our focus: you are welcome to help yourself at our housekeeping station if you need fresh towels or additional bathroom items. We thank you very much for your help!
Sustainably clean - refillable cleaning agents from Cedos
Carefully coordinated cleaning agents and disinfectants ensure the highest level of cleanliness and a perfect feel-good atmosphere in our hotel. With the efficient cleaning products from Cedos, we achieve the best results and protect the environment. Refillable dosing systems individually adapted to our requirements facilitate correct application – helping us leave a brilliant impression in many respects.
E-charging stations - your electricity charging station directly on site
Fast & easy charging – with the e-charging station directly in the underground car park of our hotel. Comfortably charge your electric vehicle and be sure that everything is ready for your next excursion or onward journey.
We are expanding our service and promoting sustainable e-mobility for our guests with our new hotel-owned charging stations . With us, you can arrive and relaxedly charge up – according to the motto: “My hotel, my e-charging station”.
At the four e-charging points of our electric charging station, you can refuel with 100% green electricity from Stadtwerke München. For the underground parking space, a fee of EUR 18 per night/vehicle is charged in addition to the charging costs. Billing takes place directly via the e-charging station.

Rental bikes - flexible and environmentally friendly on the road in Munich
Why not explore Munich on two wheels? Six rental bikes are available for you at the Hotel Metropol for a brisk tour through the city or out into the countryside. Start directly from the hotel and enjoy the freedom – Completely independent of buses, trains and the search for a parking space.The bikes can be rented directly at the reception from 8 am – 6 pm. The latest start possible for your evening tour is at 6 pm. A practical bike map is included in the daily rate of 15 euros per bike; of course our staff also have some personal tour tips for you. Eager to hear what you have experienced, we expect you back from your bike tour at 10:30 pm at the latest.

Unfortunately, a return after 11pm is not possible. From 10:30pm onwards, a € 10 fee will be charged. If it is necessary to pick up the bike, a fee of € 100 will be charged. Bicycles cannot be reserved in advance. Subject to availability.
Simply delicious - our breakfast with vegan & organic regional products
We want to offer you a unique, enjoyable Sunday breakfast every day. Our approach: colourful, delicious variety and, at the same time, more sustainability on your plate – because regionally and freshly purchased, high-quality food simply tastes best. That’s why it’s especially important to us to offer you predominantly seasonal, organic and local products at our breakfast buffet – including a large vegan and vegetarian selection. Of course, we avoid plastic packaging and disposable products at breakfast wherever possible in our sustainable business. That way, we can serve you a wonderfully fresh breakfast with a clear conscience: Bavarian delicacies, healthy juices, muesli with fruit, crispy rolls, fluffy egg dishes and fragrant coffee specialities.
Our suppliers - high quality, regional & with tradition
There are many excellent producers and manufacturers in and around Munich. Wherever and whenever possible, we source the products we offer in our hotels from our homelands, the Upper Bavarian region. We are proud of our first-class network of regional suppliers, most of whom have been supplying us reliably with top-quality products for many years.
We have a trusting relationship with these traditional Bavarian companies and family-run businesses, sharing the same values and a sense of genuine enjoyment. That is only possible since we know and appreciate each other. Social responsibility plays a role just as important as sustainability for us, innovation and the high standards of our own work.
Especially beautiful - refillable, sustainable cosmetic products
For more sustainability in the bathroom, our motto is: refill cosmetics instead of throwing them away. For environmental reasons, we rely on refill systems and offer you all cosmetic products exclusively in refillable dispenser systems. Not only do our practical refill solutions save plastic waste, they also look really good.
Clean business - laundry service with efficient environmental management
We also rely on regional partners and sustainability for laundry and textile management. The Landshut-based company Urzinger takes care of our hotel laundry and is committed to protecting the environment, energy-efficient operations and the careful use of resources. The laundry is done in compliance with ecological standards according to an audited environmental management system, with which the family-owned company has been optimising its energy, water, electricity and detergent consumption for years.
Sustainable furniture
We rely on sustainable furnishings from the company “Proplan” for our rooms. The furniture from our furnishing partner based in Rosenheim is characterised by the high quality of the materials and workmanship. They are manufactured in Germany and are particularly durable and stable. At Proplan, sustainability also means short distances, transparent supply chains, resource conservation, environmentally friendly certification and recycling. As in other areas, we focus on regional ties and cooperation with a local partner in order to strengthen the local economy and minimise the environmental impact through short delivery routes. A further building block in fulfilling our responsibility as sustainable hoteliers.
Certified commitment - Our electricity certificates for green energy
We rely on renewable energies and use sustainably produced, green electricity from Stadtwerke München. Certificates guarantee that our climate-friendly electricity tariff contributes to the energy revolution. In this way, we actively promote the regional expansion of sustainable power plants for generating electricity from the sun and water in Munich and the region.
